The Acast link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Acast for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the GIF file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Acast encoded at. Among the Acast link shapes handled are channel.
