Your privacy is very important to us at tikt.com. This Privacy Policy document outlines what data tikt.com receives and how we store, manage, and protect it.

Logs

tikt.com uses log files, which are files that record information including requested webpage resources, IP addresses, browser types, and timestamps. This information is used by tikt.com for troubleshooting, service analysis, and site maintenance. This information cannot be directly linked to personally identifiable information. Nor is it linked to video or audio. At most the IP address is used to tally that up to 3 recordings where done, but not which. And expires after one hour.

Log files, and any data therein, are not shared with any third party.

Collected Information

tikt.com receives and stores information that you enter on the website. This includes requested resources, search queries, and website settings. This information is stored to monitor and analyse service activity. This information cannot be linked to personally identifiable information.

All information you enter is voluntary. None of this information is shared with any third party.

tikt.com will not collect any personal information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information.

Cookies

tikt.com stores your preferences in cookies. While these cookies improve your experience by remembering your settings, they're completely optional. All of tikt.com's features and services work without cookies.

Cookies may be stored by third parties via third party content embedded in tikt.com, like multimedia players and analytics. tikt.com has no control over the cookies stored by third parties.

What we keep, and for how long

• Access logs — IP address, browser, page and time. Kept for 14 days, then deleted. Used for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.
• Session — your language preference, and a link you submit until your result page loads. Expires after at most 14 days.
• Rate-limit tally — a hash of your IP address and browser, so the free limit can be enforced. Expires after 24 hours.
• Page ratings — your rating and the page it applies to. The IP address recorded with it is erased after 90 days; the rating itself is kept.
• Usage events — which key pages you reached, such as pricing or checkout, linked to your account if you are signed in. Deleted after 12 months.
• Account — your email address, language and newsletter choices. Kept until you delete your account.
• Payments — amount, date, country, and the card brand, expiry and last four digits. Kept for accounting and refunds.

Litigation hold

The retention periods above are currently suspended. tikt.com is a party to pending legal proceedings and is legally required to preserve records that may be relevant to them, so the data listed above as deleted after 14 days, 90 days or 12 months is being retained until the hold is lifted.

This is a pause on deletion, not a change in what we collect or what we do with it. Preserved records are used only to meet that legal obligation, are not used for advertising or profiling, and are not sold. You keep all of the rights set out below, including asking us to delete your account, which we will still do; where the law requires us to preserve a record for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, we keep a limited preservation record and use it for no other purpose.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Authorize.Net. We never receive or store your full card number, and we do not keep your billing address — it is passed to the payment processor for fraud checks and is not retained by us.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To provide the service and carry out our agreement with you, covering your account and any purchase; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and understanding how it performs; and your consent for marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time from your newsletter settings or the unsubscribe link in any message.

Who else processes it

Clicky provides our website analytics and Authorize.Net processes payments; both act on our behalf. Our servers are located in the United States, so your information is processed there. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable form, object to processing we base on our legitimate interests, or withdraw your consent. Write to hello@tikt.com. We will respond as quickly as we can. If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the same rights of access and deletion, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.
