Because Imgclick is handled by the gallery route. It enumerates the files attached to the post or album you pointed at instead of picking one, so a post with eight images returns eight images. If you only wanted one, link the individual item rather than the container.

No cap you have to pay to lift and no trial that expires. The paid plan exists for people who download in bulk or want the API; a single Imgclick link does not need it and never will.

Yes, identically. The work happens on our side, so an old phone on a slow connection is no worse at resolving the Imgclick link than a desktop — it just downloads the file more slowly afterwards.
