How the gallery route handles the Postimg link

Postimg is reached through our gallery extractor. Given a post, album or profile URL it enumerates the files attached to it and pulls each one at the size it was uploaded — there is no rendition ladder to negotiate and no re-encode step, so what lands on your device is the file Postimg stored. Among the Postimg link shapes handled are gallery, image. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.

Use whichever is quicker: the field above, or tikt.com/ ahead of the Postimg link:

tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media
The order of operations
1. Open the Postimg post

Find the Postimg post, album or profile page holding what you want and copy its address. A post URL gets you that post; a profile URL gets you what the profile has published.

2. Paste it above

Drop the URL into the field at the top of this page. The gallery extractor enumerates the files attached to that Postimg page rather than guessing at one.

3. Take the files

Each file is listed at the size it was uploaded to Postimg. Save one, or save the lot — nothing has been resampled or re-encoded in between.

Technical FAQ — Tikt.com Postimg Media Converter

Only if the post holds an audio file to begin with. Postimg runs through the gallery route, which returns the files a post contains — it does not pull an audio track out of a video stream, because that route never touches a stream. If there is audio in the post you get it; if there is not, no amount of asking will produce it.

Because Postimg is handled by the gallery route. It enumerates the files attached to the post or album you pointed at instead of picking one, so a post with eight images returns eight images. If you only wanted one, link the individual item rather than the container.

Among others: gallery, image. Those are separate URL shapes with separate handling behind them, which is why a link that looks nothing like the last one you pasted still works.

Because there is nothing to select between. The gallery route returns the file as Postimg stored it — one version, at its uploaded size. A quality menu here would be decoration over a single option.

No. The file streams through and is gone; there is no library, no history and nothing to delete afterwards. That is also why we cannot re-send you something you downloaded last week.

No. This is a web page with a text box. Anything that asks you to install an executable to save the Postimg link is asking for more access than the job requires.

Not by us. There is no re-encode step in the path, so the file you get is bit-for-bit what Postimg served. Whatever compression Postimg applied when it accepted the upload is already baked in and cannot be undone by anyone.

Yes, identically. The work happens on our side, so an old phone on a slow connection is no worse at resolving the Postimg link than a desktop — it just downloads the file more slowly afterwards.

The Audio downloader for Postimg pulls audio out of Postimg posts and serves it as MP3. No video stream is retained; you get just the audio track.

Audio downloads inherit the bitrate from the Postimg upload (typically 128-320 kbps). No re-encoding, no quality loss vs the source.

MP3 plays in every music app and OS music player on Earth -- iTunes / Music, Spotify-local-files, VLC, Foobar2000, WinAmp, Android Music, etc.

Audio downloads don't carry visual watermarks. The MP3 stream is the audio the Postimg uploader pushed; Tikt.com doesn't inject ID3 tags or audio cues.

The typical case: soundtrack extraction. Audio on Postimg is the right pick when you want exactly that media slice without dragging in the rest of the post.

One Audio per URL by default. For multiple, paste each Postimg URL into a fresh tab or use the batch endpoint documented under /api/.

Tikt.com does not retain downloaded files or log user activity. All media is processed in a stateless pipeline and transmitted directly to the requesting device.
