No app, no extension, no account. The whole thing is a text box and a link — you paste the Bbc URL, we resolve it, you get the MP3 file. Anything more than that would be us adding steps for our benefit rather than yours. Bbc is one of the few platforms wired into both routes at once, because its posts and its streams are genuinely different things. Nothing here re-encodes, so an audio-only file exists only where Bbc publishes one; where it ships audio muxed inside the video stream, that stream is what there is to take. Bbc supports signed-in sessions upstream, which is precisely how it hides private material; we browse anonymously, so that material stays hidden.

The URL shape decides the route: album-style Bbc links go to the gallery extractor, stream-style links to the media extractor.
