The Huffpost link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Huffpost for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the video file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Huffpost encoded at. The renditions we see from Huffpost arrive as MP4. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
