The Infoq link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Infoq for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the video file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Infoq encoded at. The renditions we see from Infoq arrive as FLV, MP4.
