Itchio Gallery Downloader: Save Whole Albums at Original Size

Free to use, on phone or desktop.

Getting the MP4 file out of Itchio, step by step

The reason the Itchio MP4 file is awkward to save in the first place is that the platform serves it as a stream rather than as a file. This page does the small amount of work that turns one into the other, and nothing else. Everything from Itchio goes through the gallery route, which enumerates a post's files instead of negotiating a stream. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.

Shortcut — stick tikt.com/ on the front of the Itchio address instead of copying it here:

tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media

What you actually have to do

1. Open the Itchio post

Find the Itchio post, album or profile page holding what you want and copy its address. A post URL gets you that post; a profile URL gets you what the profile has published.

2. Paste it above

Drop the URL into the field at the top of this page. The gallery extractor enumerates the files attached to that Itchio page rather than guessing at one.

3. Take the files

Each file is listed at the size it was uploaded to Itchio. Save one, or save the lot — nothing has been resampled or re-encoded in between.

Ceisteanna Coitianta

Because Itchio is handled by the gallery route. It enumerates the files attached to the post or album you pointed at instead of picking one, so a post with eight images returns eight images. If you only wanted one, link the individual item rather than the container.

Because there is nothing to select between. The gallery route returns the file as Itchio stored it — one version, at its uploaded size. A quality menu here would be decoration over a single option.

No. This is a web page with a text box. Anything that asks you to install an executable to save the Itchio link is asking for more access than the job requires.

Yes, identically. The work happens on our side, so an old phone on a slow connection is no worse at resolving the Itchio link than a desktop — it just downloads the file more slowly afterwards.

No. The file streams through and is gone; there is no library, no history and nothing to delete afterwards. That is also why we cannot re-send you something you downloaded last week.

No cap you have to pay to lift and no trial that expires. The paid plan exists for people who download in bulk or want the API; a single Itchio link does not need it and never will.

Not by us. There is no re-encode step in the path, so the file you get is bit-for-bit what Itchio served. Whatever compression Itchio applied when it accepted the upload is already baked in and cannot be undone by anyone.

Check that the link opens in a normal logged-out browser tab first. If it does not, we cannot see it either. If it does, the item may have moved or the platform may have changed something on its side since the extractor last saw it.
