The Lastfmuser link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Lastfmuser for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the MP3 file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Lastfmuser encoded at. Nothing here re-encodes, so an audio-only file exists only where Lastfmuser publishes one; where it ships audio muxed inside the video stream, that stream is what there is to take. Some Lastfmuser URLs name a collection rather than a single item, and those return everything the collection holds. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
