Using the Lexica Audio downloader

Offline is the common reason people end up here: a flight, a commute, a patchy connection, a phone that will not stream Lexica reliably. A local audio file solves all four and does not need us again afterwards. Everything from Lexica goes through the gallery route, which enumerates a post's files instead of negotiating a stream. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.

The address bar works too. Prefix any Lexica URL with tikt.com/:

The order of operations
1. Open the Lexica post

Find the Lexica post, album or profile page holding what you want and copy its address. A post URL gets you that post; a profile URL gets you what the profile has published.

2. Paste it above

Drop the URL into the field at the top of this page. The gallery extractor enumerates the files attached to that Lexica page rather than guessing at one.

3. Take the files

Each file is listed at the size it was uploaded to Lexica. Save one, or save the lot — nothing has been resampled or re-encoded in between.

Only if the post holds an audio file to begin with. Lexica runs through the gallery route, which returns the files a post contains — it does not pull an audio track out of a video stream, because that route never touches a stream. If there is audio in the post you get it; if there is not, no amount of asking will produce it.

Because Lexica is handled by the gallery route. It enumerates the files attached to the post or album you pointed at instead of picking one, so a post with eight images returns eight images. If you only wanted one, link the individual item rather than the container.

Because there is nothing to select between. The gallery route returns the file as Lexica stored it — one version, at its uploaded size. A quality menu here would be decoration over a single option.

Not by us. There is no re-encode step in the path, so the file you get is bit-for-bit what Lexica served. Whatever compression Lexica applied when it accepted the upload is already baked in and cannot be undone by anyone.

No. This is a web page with a text box. Anything that asks you to install an executable to save the Lexica link is asking for more access than the job requires.

No. The file streams through and is gone; there is no library, no history and nothing to delete afterwards. That is also why we cannot re-send you something you downloaded last week.

Yes, identically. The work happens on our side, so an old phone on a slow connection is no worse at resolving the Lexica link than a desktop — it just downloads the file more slowly afterwards.

No cap you have to pay to lift and no trial that expires. The paid plan exists for people who download in bulk or want the API; a single Lexica link does not need it and never will.
