No app, no extension, no account. The whole thing is a text box and a link — you paste the Mastodon URL, we resolve it, you get the audio file. Anything more than that would be us adding steps for our benefit rather than yours. Everything from Mastodon goes through the gallery route, which enumerates a post's files instead of negotiating a stream. Mastodon is one of the smaller integrations here, so the extractor keeps its handling deliberately general rather than assuming a page layout.
