There is a difference between watching something on Mastodon.Social and having it. A link can be taken down, made private or region-locked tomorrow; the MP3 file on your own disk cannot. That is the entire point of this page. Everything from Mastodon.Social goes through the gallery route, which enumerates a post's files instead of negotiating a stream. Mastodon.Social is one of the smaller integrations here, so the extractor keeps its handling deliberately general rather than assuming a page layout.
