No. Niconico is handled by the media route, which resolves the item a link names rather than walking a profile's history. Paste the individual item you want. That is a limit of the route, not a paywall — there is nothing to upgrade to that changes it.

It reads the rendition list Niconico publishes for that item and takes the highest progressive one — a single file with video and audio already muxed, so nothing has to be recombined afterwards. It never re-encodes, so it cannot give you a quality Niconico did not publish.

No, and that is deliberate. Niconico gates private material behind a signed-in session; we fetch as an anonymous browser and hold no credentials, so we see exactly what a logged-out visitor sees. If a post needs a follow request to view, it needs one to download.
