Online Peertube Photo Extractor

Free to use, on phone or desktop.

What happens after you paste the Peertube link

No app, no extension, no account. The whole thing is a text box and a link — you paste the Peertube URL, we resolve it, you get the photo file. Anything more than that would be us adding steps for our benefit rather than yours. Peertube is handled by the media route, which reads the site's own rendition list before choosing anything. Among the Peertube link shapes handled are playlist. Some Peertube URLs name a collection rather than a single item, and those return everything the collection holds.

The address bar works too. Prefix any Peertube URL with tikt.com/:

tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media
The whole process
1. Copy the Peertube link

Use the address bar or the platform's own share button — both give a URL the extractor recognises. Point it at the single item you want, not the page around it.

2. Let it read the renditions

Paste the URL above. The extractor asks Peertube which renditions exist for that item and picks the best progressive one rather than assuming a quality.

3. Save what comes back

The file arrives in the container Peertube served it in, and the extractor does not rebuild it — so what you end up with is what the uploader encoded, for better or worse.

Technical FAQ — Tikt.com Peertube Media Converter

No. Peertube is handled by the media route, which resolves the item a link names rather than walking a profile's history. Paste the individual item you want. That is a limit of the route, not a paywall — there is nothing to upgrade to that changes it.

It reads the rendition list Peertube publishes for that item and takes the highest progressive one — a single file with video and audio already muxed, so nothing has to be recombined afterwards. It never re-encodes, so it cannot give you a quality Peertube did not publish.

Among others: playlist. Those are separate URL shapes with separate handling behind them, which is why a link that looks nothing like the last one you pasted still works.

Whatever the URL names. A single-item Peertube link returns that item; a collection or feed URL returns what the collection holds. If you got more than you expected, you pasted the container rather than the item.

No. The file streams through and is gone; there is no library, no history and nothing to delete afterwards. That is also why we cannot re-send you something you downloaded last week.

Yes, identically. The work happens on our side, so an old phone on a slow connection is no worse at resolving the Peertube link than a desktop — it just downloads the file more slowly afterwards.

No cap you have to pay to lift and no trial that expires. The paid plan exists for people who download in bulk or want the API; a single Peertube link does not need it and never will.

Not by us. There is no re-encode step in the path, so the file you get is bit-for-bit what Peertube served. Whatever compression Peertube applied when it accepted the upload is already baked in and cannot be undone by anyone.

Peertube serves the Photo asset as a public URL. Tikt.com fetches it without ever signing in to your account.

No special tricks. Paste the Peertube URL as it appears in your address bar; Tikt.com handles the rest.

The typical case: photo-only extraction. Photo on Peertube is the right pick when you want exactly that media slice without dragging in the rest of the post.

Saved to your browser's default Downloads folder. JPG files render in every image viewer (Preview, Photos, Photopea, the browser itself).

No signup. No account. No cookies tied to your Peertube identity. Tikt.com doesn't log which Photo URL you pasted.

Free. The Photo downloader for Peertube is unmetered for personal use -- no per-file fee, no daily cap.

Tikt.com does not retain downloaded files or log user activity. All media is processed in a stateless pipeline and transmitted directly to the requesting device.
