Online Reddit Photo Extractor

Album links and stream links each go to the extractor built for them.

The short version

Requests to Reddit are deliberately paced — roughly 0.6 seconds between fetches — because the site does not tolerate being hammered. A large album therefore takes longer here than the file sizes alone suggest. That pacing is a feature; without it the whole extractor gets blocked. Reddit is one of the few platforms wired into both routes at once, because its posts and its streams are genuinely different things. Reddit is one of the broader integrations here — 7 distinct link shapes are handled rather than a single canonical one. Reddit supports signed-in sessions upstream, which is precisely how it hides private material; we browse anonymously, so that material stays hidden.

Use whichever is quicker: the field above, or tikt.com/ ahead of the Reddit link:

Three steps, start to finish
1. Grab whichever Reddit link you have

A post link and a stream link are both fine here — they take different paths internally and you do not have to care which.

2. Paste and let it route

The URL shape decides the route: album-style Reddit links go to the gallery extractor, stream-style links to the media extractor.

3. Collect what came back

A post can return several files and a stream returns one. Either way nothing was re-encoded on the way through.

Technical FAQ — Tikt.com Reddit Media Converter

Reddit is wired into both extractors. A post or album URL goes to the gallery route and returns the files attached to it; a stream URL goes to the media route and returns one negotiated rendition. Same box, different machinery, decided by the shape of the link.

Deliberate pacing. Fetches to Reddit are spaced roughly 0.6 seconds apart because the platform rate-limits hard, and going faster gets the extractor blocked outright rather than served quicker. A big album therefore takes longer than its file sizes suggest.

No, and that is deliberate. Reddit gates private material behind a signed-in session; we fetch as an anonymous browser and hold no credentials, so we see exactly what a logged-out visitor sees. If a post needs a follow request to view, it needs one to download.

Among others: home, image, redirect, submission. Those are separate URL shapes with separate handling behind them, which is why a link that looks nothing like the last one you pasted still works.

Whatever the URL names. A single-item Reddit link returns that item; a collection or feed URL returns what the collection holds. If you got more than you expected, you pasted the container rather than the item.

No. 7 different Reddit URL shapes are recognised, which covers the ordinary address-bar URL, the share variant and most of the odd ones in between. Paste whatever you copied; if it is the Reddit address it will almost certainly resolve.

Seconds, normally. Items on Reddit are typically short, so the file is small and the transfer is over almost as soon as it starts. If it stalls, that is a connection problem rather than a queue — there is no queue.

You get the best progressive rendition Reddit publishes for that item, chosen automatically. There is no upscaling on offer, because inventing pixels that Reddit never encoded would make the file bigger and not better.

The Photo downloader for Reddit extracts still images at their source resolution. Output: JPG -- no thumbnail resampling, no recompression.

Photo downloads come back at full source resolution -- whatever pixel dimensions the original uploader used on Reddit.

JPG files render in every OS image viewer, every browser and most editors (Photoshop, GIMP, Affinity, Krita).

Tikt.com never adds image watermarks. The Photo you download from Reddit is the source file the platform CDN serves.

Saved to your browser's default Downloads folder. JPG files render in every image viewer (Preview, Photos, Photopea, the browser itself).

One Photo per URL by default. For multiple, paste each Reddit URL into a fresh tab or use the batch endpoint documented under /api/.

Tikt.com does not retain downloaded files or log user activity. All media is processed in a stateless pipeline and transmitted directly to the requesting device.
