The Screen9 link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Screen9 for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the video file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Screen9 encoded at. The renditions we see from Screen9 arrive as MP4. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
Shortcut — stick tikt.com/ on the front of the Screen9 address instead of copying it here:
tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media
Use the address bar or the platform's own share button — both give a URL the extractor recognises. Point it at the single item you want, not the page around it.
Paste the URL above. The extractor asks Screen9 which renditions exist for that item and picks the best progressive one rather than assuming a quality.
The file arrives in the container Screen9 served it in, and the extractor does not rebuild it — so what you end up with is what the uploader encoded, for better or worse.
