The Tmz link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Tmz for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the audio file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Tmz encoded at. Nothing here re-encodes, so an audio-only file exists only where Tmz publishes one; where it ships audio muxed inside the video stream, that stream is what there is to take.
