One thing to set expectations on: Toypics is served by our media route, which resolves an individual item rather than walking an album. A photo request here returns the media the link names, not a sweep of everything the account has ever posted. Toypics's extractor is currently flagged as unreliable upstream, so an occasional failure there is expected rather than surprising. Toypics items come marked with an age restriction upstream. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
The address bar works too. Prefix any Toypics URL with tikt.com/:
tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media
Use the address bar or the platform's own share button — both give a URL the extractor recognises. Point it at the single item you want, not the page around it.
Paste the URL above. The extractor asks Toypics which renditions exist for that item and picks the best progressive one rather than assuming a quality.
The file arrives in the container Toypics served it in, and the extractor does not rebuild it — so what you end up with is what the uploader encoded, for better or worse.
