The Wimtv link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Wimtv for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the profile file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Wimtv encoded at. Wimtv also carries live output, and a stream still in progress has no final file to give you yet. The renditions we see from Wimtv arrive as MP4. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
