The Medaltv link is resolved by our media extractor. It asks Medaltv for the list of renditions it publishes for that item, takes the best progressive one and streams it through to you as the profile file. Nothing is transcoded on the way, so quality is whatever Medaltv encoded at. Items on Medaltv are typically under a minute, so the files are small. The renditions we see from Medaltv arrive as MP4. No credentials are involved anywhere in this path — neither yours nor ours.
Either paste a Medaltv link above, or put tikt.com/ in front of any Medaltv URL in your address bar:
tikt.com/https://www.example.com/path/to/media
Use the address bar or the platform's own share button — both give a URL the extractor recognises. Point it at the single item you want, not the page around it.
Paste the URL above. The extractor asks Medaltv which renditions exist for that item and picks the best progressive one rather than assuming a quality.
The file arrives in the container Medaltv served it in, and the extractor does not rebuild it — so what you end up with is what the uploader encoded, for better or worse.
